Blogroll
It's frustrating being a learn-as-you-go Instructional Technology Coordinator because things I see and want to do then take time to figure out. Today's it's from Lucy Gray's blog. Loved her list of blogs on the sidebar but notice that they do not simply open a webpage. Figure it must be blogrolling. Then read What is a Blogroll on CommonCraft blog and learn the advantages of paying the fee to remove the blogrolling free stuff. Very good explanation. Now just need time to do it.
From the CommonCraft page I am able to add this blog directly to my Google homepage.
In order to provide viewers of your website the ability to read RSS or Atom feeds, read HOWTO: Add Live Bookmarks Support to Your Site.
If you accidentally check Always use Live Feed here is the solution: in Firefox 2 you can choose different options for subscribing to web feeds, including "Live Bookmarks", based on your selections under "Tools -> Options -> Feeds":
- Show me a preview and ask me which Feed Reader to use. If this option is selected, you will be presented with a preview of the feed content and a choice of using "Live Bookmarks", some web-based readers or your own application.
- Subscribe to the feed using: Select this option and choose "Live Bookmarks" if you always want to subscribe to feeds using "Live Bookmarks".
