Digitizing Audio Tapes

Before the year ends this task is finally done. Using a standard audio tape recorder, attach one end of the single 1/8 inch dual ended cable to its mic and then to the laptop's mic. Click Record in Audacity and then press the play button of the tape deck. Adjust the tape deck's volume to medium and record away. Music is very distorted but audio is just fine. Now I can finally chuck the children's old much-loved tapes.
